Dattatray Phuge, a man known for possessing a 22-carat gold shirt worth ₹1.2 crore, was allegedly stoned to death in front of his son on Thursday in Pune. Police suspect the murder is related to a chit-fund scam and have arrested four people, including Phuge’s nephew. Phuge was photographed in the 3.5-kg shirt, billed as the world's most expensive, in 2012.
