Pune-based NGO Sarhad has launched an education initiative for children of tourism workers in Pahalgam, J&K, who helped stranded tourists during a recent terror attack. In phase one, school education will be provided in Sarhad-run schools in Aragam and Dardpora, with hostel support. Around 200 families will benefit, with future plans for higher education in Pune for deserving students.
