Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has been ranked 15th for cleanliness among Indian cities in the Swachh Survekshan 2020 announced by the Union Urban Development Ministry. The city's ranking improved by 22 spots from 37 in 2019. Indore secured the top rank. Pune has also been ranked the fourth cleanest city in Maharashtra in 2020 after Navi Mumbai, Nashik and Thane.
