A 30-year-old web developer in Pune was allegedly cheated of ₹2.5 lakh by a man who promised him a job abroad. The victim said the accused had promised to help him, his wife and brother-in-law get jobs in a software company in Russia. The accused allegedly asked for more money after they got confirmation letters from a Russian email address.
