A Pune-based company EcoKaari is making handwoven products using charkha (spindle) and handloom from plastic waste. The firm's Founder Nandan Bhat said that the company's aim is to conserve the environment and provide livelihood as artisans to women and youths. "We have tied up with waste-picking organisations that get us plastics from across the country, which we reuse," he added.
