Punjab AAP MLA Balbir Singh, his wife, son and an aide were on Monday sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonment in a 2011 assault case by a court in Rupnagar. However, the four accused were later granted bail. According to an FIR, the accused had allegedly attacked Singh's sister-in-law and her husband following a land dispute.
