Punjab bus services halved as outsourced workers protest

Over 50% of Punjab Roadways and PRTC buses remained off roads in Ludhiana on Friday as 6,000 outsourced transport workers protested outside Punjab Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh. Around 400 workers from Ludhiana joined the demonstration. Commuters faced long waits and overcrowded buses, while permanent and contractual staff maintained partial services.
