Punjab canal water coverage jumped from 22% to 80%: Mann

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann told the Vidhan Sabha on Friday that canal-water utilisation has risen from 22% in 2022 to over 80%, with 14,000 km of pipelines laid. The state plans 6,000 km more. Groundwater levels have risen by 4 metres, and paddy yields have touched 90 maunds per acre in irrigated areas.
