The Punjab Government has yet to approve the proposed name for the Chief Fire Officer of the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB). Last year, the BBMB requested a Punjab-cadre officer for the post, and the Director of Local Government recommended Assistant Divisional Fire Officer Lovpreet Singh to the Principal Secretary of the Water Resources Department.
