Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema presented a ₹2.36-lakh crore Budget for the 2025-26 financial year. Cheema announced the AAP-led Punjab government will conduct a "drug census" in the state. It allocated ₹5,598 crore for health sector and ₹14,524 crore for agriculture and allied sectors. For development of housing and urban local areas, an allocation of ₹5,983-crore has been made.
