Amid a financial crunch, Punjab government has directed various departments to deposit a collective amount of ₹1,441.49 crore. The decision was taken following a meeting on Wednesday. The Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB), has also been directed to transfer ₹250 crore to the state treasury. The move has irked PPCB employees and pensioners.
