Punjab power crisis hits industry as Ludhiana, Jalandhar face 8-10 hour cuts
Punjab's industrial consumers are facing 8-10-hour power cuts in major centres including Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar and Mohali amid power crisis. The cuts follow the shutdown of one unit each at Nabha Power's Rajpura plant and Talwandi Sabo Power Plant, reducing generation by around 1,360 MW. Domestic and agricultural consumers are already facing 3-4 hours of unscheduled cuts in many areas.
