Reacting to the Centre’s plan to bring Chandigarh under Article 240, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal called the move an attack on Punjab’s identity. "History bears witness that Punjabis have never bowed before any dictatorship. Punjab will not bow even today," he added. The Bill would give the President the power to legislate for Chandigarh.
