Walmart-backed PhonePe has said that reports about the online payments unicorn acquiring the 'buy now, pay later' platform ZestMoney are "purely speculative". According to a report by The Economic Times, PhonePe is close to buying ZestMoney. The company has reportedly been looking for a buyer as it struggled to raise funds from tech investors and has been facing regulatory scrutiny.
