In a major announcement made just before the Bahuda Yatra (the return journey of Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra), Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi shared that Puri will soon become a municipal corporation. This upgrade in Puri will lead to better roads, clean water, sanitation, and other services usually found in big cities.
