Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday met Ali Larijani, a senior adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, to hold nuclear talks, said Kremlin. Putin and Larijani discussed the escalating situation in the Middle East and issues surrounding Iran's nuclear programme, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. Putin reaffirmed Russia's position in favour of stabilising the region, he added.
