Russian President Vladimir Putin has said the constitutional rule which limits the president to only serve two successive terms can be removed. "(This clause) troubles some of our political analysts and public figures," he said during his annual year-end press conference. Putin, who has been in power since 1999, has either served as the President or Prime Minister.
