Russian President Vladimir Putin's top aide and country's climate envoy Anatoly Chubais has stepped down and left the country citing his opposition to the war in Ukraine, Bloomberg reported. Known as the architect of Russia's 1990s privatisations, Chubais gave Putin his first Kremlin job in the mid-1990s. Chubais is the highest-level Kremlin official to break ties with Russia amid war.
