PV Sindhu creates history, becomes first Indian badminton player to win Japan Open title

PV Sindhu became the first Indian shuttler to win Japan Open title on Sunday, defeating Japan's Akane Yamaguchi 21-17, 21-17 in the women's singles final in Tokyo. It is the two-time Olympic medallist's maiden Super 750 crown and her first BWF World Tour title since the Syed Modi International in December 2024.
