PV Sindhu starts BWF World Championships 2026 campaign with a win, reaches Round of 32

Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu began her BWF World Championships 2026 campaign with a straight-sets win over Ireland’s Sophia Noble in New Delhi on Monday. The 31-year-old finished the match in 29 minutes and won 21-7, 21-11 in the opening round to advance to the Round of 32. Sindhu will next face Canada's Wen Yu Zhang on Tuesday.
