Qatar Airlines has been sued by family of a vegetarian Sri Lankan doctor who allegedly died after choking on a non-vegetarian meal served on a flight in 2023. He was allegedly asked to "eat around" the meat in a "regular meal with meat" after vegetarian option got finished. At the time of landing, he had been unconscious for 3.5 hours.
