Qatar on Tuesday amended its residency laws to allow foreign workers to leave the country without exit permits from their employers. "The adoption of this law is another step in our continued drive to ensure protection of all migrant workers," authorities said. Earlier, foreign workers required permission from their employers before leaving the country.
