American wireless technology corporation Qualcomm announced a coalition with industry partners to fast-track 6G development at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026. The partners include Google, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Airtel, Samsung, Snap, Siemens, Telstra, Sharp and Nokia. The coalition focuses on devices, networks, and cloud infrastructure and aims to roll out commercial 6G systems from 2029.
