Chip manufacturing giant Qualcomm and Japan-based electronics company TDK on Wednesday announced a joint venture called RF360 Holdings worth $3 billion for the wireless technology sector. As part of the deal, Qualcomm will invest around $1.2 billion in the venture and will own 51% of the company while the module design, manufacturing assets, and related patents will come from TDK.
