Quikr and Indiamart banned the illegal sale of pets on their platforms, months after animal rights activists protested against the practice. A petition was started by a Bengaluru-based trust after the death of a puppy, 21 days after it was bought online. “We put in our efforts and made it happen," an executive from the trust said.
