Racing driver awarded female land speed record after she died attempting it

US racing driver Jessi Combs has been posthumously awarded the fastest land-speed record by a female by Guinness World Records 10 months after she died in a crash while trying to achieve the feat. Her jet-powered car clocked a record speed of 841.338 kmph on August 27, 2019. Combs is the first to break this record in over 40 years.
