Raghav Chadha hails govt as prepaid users to now recharge 12 times instead of 13 per year

BJP MP Raghav Chadha hailed the government for introducing Telecom Consumer Protection (Thirteenth Amendment) Regulations, 2026, under which prepaid users will now have to recharge phones 12 times a year, instead of 13. A 30-day recharge plan and voice and SMS-only plans were introduced too. "Many of you had shared your concerns with me about...limited...inflexible recharge options," he said.
