Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Friday pleaded not guilty before a Pune court in a defamation case over remarks he made about VD Savarkar in UK in 2023. The complaint, filed by Savarkar's grandnephew Satyaki Savarkar, claims the comments were defamatory and harmed the freedom fighter's image. The court has listed July 29 to begin recording evidence in the case.
