BJP leader Smriti Irani said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should contest from other places too, which are non-family constituencies. "Rahul cannot win from Amethi even in 2029. I challenge Rahul Gandhi to debate with me," she added. Irani had defeated Rahul from Amethi seat in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, however, she lost to Congress' Kishori Lal Sharma in 2024 polls.
