To ease congestion and improve connectivity, Mumbai's suburban rail network will get a major upgrade. Indian Railways has revealed that they have allotted an amount of ₹1,777 crore for these upgrades. This will help accelerate the progress of crucial rail projects in the city. They plan to add 238 AC trains, construct new railway lines, and enhance existing infrastructure.
