Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced plans for a new superfast train between Bengaluru and Mumbai, ending a four-decade-long demand. The service is expected to cut the current 21-23 hour journey on the Udyan Express to around 14-15 hours, providing a faster and cheaper travel alternative to flights and buses.
