Union Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on Tuesday that Railways will "produce 50 new Namo Bharat trains to cater to growing passenger demand." He also announced production of 100 MEMU trains consisting between 16 and 20 coaches to be built in Andhra Pradesh. Vaishnaw added that more than 1,200 general coaches were added in trains in last one year.
