The Rajasthan Police in Tonk district had to withdraw a transfer order after criticism for mentioning the caste of the eight constables in the list. "It was an unintentional mistake...a clerical mistake. I take the responsibility," said SP, Tonk, Manish Tripathi. The BJP claimed the police were being "politically used" and that the Congress was "encouraging casteism in police".
