Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan has claimed that Rajinikanth received a ₹100 crore cheque after Jailer's success. His claim came after Sun Pictures shared pictures on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "Mr Kalanithi Maran met Superstar Rajinikanth and handed over a cheque, celebrating the historic success of Jailer." Vijayabalan claimed Rajinikanth had already been paid ₹110 crore for the movie.
