Economist Rajiv Kumar will be the new Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, a government think tank that replaced the Planning Commission. He will succeed Arvind Panagariya who stepped down from the post on Tuesday. Kumar previously served as the Secretary General of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and was the chief economist of Confederation of Indian Industries.
