Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) candidate Ran Kaushal Pratap Singh, the richest candidate in the Bihar polls, has lost the Lauriya Assembly seat. He was defeated by BJP leader Vinay Bihari, who secured 96,510 votes against Singh’s 69,544, winning by a margin of 26,966 votes. Singh had declared assets worth ₹368 crore in his poll affidavit.
