Sher Singh Rana, the accused in the 2001 Phoolan Devi murder case was awarded life imprisonment sentence, by a Delhi court on Thursday. The court convicted Rana on charges of murder and attempt to murder with common intention. Ignoring all pleading by him, the court gave the sentence along with a fine of Rs. 1 lakh.
