Ranchi's women recycle discarded coconut husks into coir ropes

Women from a self-help group in Ranchi recycle discarded coconut husks into coir ropes and cocopeat at a coconut waste processing unit set up by the Ranchi Municipal Corporation. The processing unit, set up at the Naga Baba Khatal vegetable market, has helped promote self-employment for women. The initiative has also encouraged waste management and recycling.
