Rape convict Ram Rahim gets 21-day parole, 17th since 2017 conviction

Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence in connection with the rape of two women disciples, has been granted 21 days of parole. He has now been released from prison on parole or furlough on 17 occasions, including the latest 21-day parole. Ram Rahim was convicted by a CBI court in 2017.
