Rare beaked whales spotted alive for the first time

The rare ginkgo-toothed beaked whales were spotted alive for the first time in the wild along the coast of Baja California in Mexico. The scientists fired a small arrow from a modified crossbow to carve out a small chunk of skin from one of the whales. The deep-diving whales are believed to grow up to 17.3 feet.
