Rare black leopard photographed in Africa after 100 years

British photographer Will Burrard-Lucas photographed the rare black leopard in Kenya's Laikipia Wilderness Camp, which scientists claim is the first picture proving its existence in nearly 100 years in Africa. The leopard's black colour is a result of melanism, a gene mutation that causes an over-production of pigment. It was photographed with camera traps that included wireless motion sensors.
