Ahmedabad Civil Hospital successfully performed a high-risk hip replacement on a woman with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), a rare blood disorder that increases bleeding risk. A multidisciplinary team carried out the complex surgery free of cost. The patient is recovering well, walking independently and has been relieved of severe hip pain.
