A rare cave-associated frog, Amolops siju, has been recorded in Syndai Cave in East Jaintia Hills, extending its known range beyond South Garo Hills. The finding suggests a wider distribution and highlights Meghalaya’s unexplored cave biodiversity, prompting calls for more scientific surveys.
