A video of sky covered with clouds that look like cotton balls in Argentina has gone viral on social media. The rare cloud formations are known as Mammatus clouds. People commenting on the video described the clouds as "marshmallows", "cotton wool" and "freaky". These clouds are usually associated with thunderstorms. They indicate arrival of heavy rain, lightning and even hailstorms.
