After a gap of more than a decade, the rare hyena was seen at the Kawal Tiger Reserve. The captured image of the animal, widely considered to have gone extinct, has sent a wave of cheers among wildlife enthusiasts. It also indicates the presence of tigers in the region as hyenas generally eat the remains of their kill.
