A rare pink female leopard has been sighted in the Ranakpur region in the Pali district of Rajasthan. “The colour seems to be because of skin mutation,” Rajsamand Deputy Conservator of Forest, Fateh Singh, said. Indian leopards normally have tawny coats with black spots. Earlier sightings of the pink leopard were reported from South Africa in 2012 and 2019.
