A stunning split-coloured lobster, featuring a near-perfect divide of brown and orange, was caught off Cape Cod by the vessel Timothy Michael. Experts cite genetic mosaicism or gynandromorphism as potential causes for this extreme rarity. Instead of being sold, the specimen was donated to the Woods Hole Science Aquarium for research and will eventually serve as a public educational exhibit.
