A pigeon called laughing dove was discovered in the Nagamalai hillock forest near Nambiyur in Erode, Tamil Nadu. The bird was discovered by Shajan and Sundaramanickam on July 5. The bird displayed white feathers, which, as per experts, happens due to leucism, a condition that causes partial loss of pigmentation in feathers.
