The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed penalties of ₹1 lakh and ₹50,000 on Rau's IAS Study Circle and Seekers Education, respectively, for misleading advertisements. Rau's IAS was fined over claims of 'successful students' in absence of necessary disclosure with regard to the course opted by the aspirant. Seekers Education was fined for claiming a success ratio of 99.99%.
