Raymond has re-appointed Gautam Singhania as the firm's Managing Director for five years starting July 1 following recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Gautam's estranged wife, Nawaz Modi-Singhania, is a non-executive director on the company's board. Nawaz has accused Gautam of physically assaulting her and their daughter, saying he "beat up, smashed and kicked" them.
